The third iteration of a youth training initiative in Oman has recently concluded, emphasizing advancements in electric vehicle technology and promoting sustainable transport solutions. The program, known as “Electric Vehicle Experts” or EV-Pro, spanned from July 19 to August 27, drawing 35 young participants from various universities and colleges across the nation.
Throughout the program, attendees engaged in comprehensive training sessions focusing on the intricacies of electric vehicle technologies. They delved into topics such as charging infrastructure, network planning, and vehicle maintenance and operations. A significant part of the curriculum explored the economic advantages of electric vehicles, highlighting their role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Workshops were integral to the program, concentrating on addressing environmental challenges and understanding sustainability principles. Participants were also introduced to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, fostering a global perspective on environmental issues. Through practical activities, they worked on creating solutions tailored to meet the specific environmental needs of their local communities.
